There will always be a strong demand for quality trained Physician Assistants. The increasing demands placed on Physicians and Group Practice must draw on the availability of licensed extenders to sustain quality patient care. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Operating Room and within the realm or pre and post-operative care.  In fact 55% of new Graduates are recruited into the Surgical Sub-Speciatlies with that number expected to increase dramatic ally over time. 

The recognition of Independent Contractor Status allows the freedom to provide quality 1st Assistant services across a wide spectrum of specialties, without the constraints of traditional group employment. Instead, the Physician Assistant participates in the majority ownership of a Self-governing Medical Practice that delivers surgical assist services, whilst maintaining oversight and supervision derived from dynamic  PA/MD contracts. As such,  Physician Assistants enjoy a truly diverse career and receive appropriate compensation earned from their services, whilst enabling a system of provider/team care.

Surgeons and Surgical Centers will benefit greatly from the availability, flexibility and economy of a Contractor Status PA, and this site is designed to provide a basis for such relationships. 

Value

There is little information available on PA Ownership or  Independent Contracting as a Surgical PA. There are complex issues involved in designing structure to your business, developing MD relationships, navigating Malpractice Insurance, Credentialing and billing. The information herein has enabled my practice to navigate through adversity and delay, and beyond trial and  error. Providing PAs with a comprehensive program that addresses these robust issues is a highly valuable service.
